When it is milled it has a vibrant color of orange to rusted orange brown.  Due to the fact that these boards are made from Genuine Hardwoods they will not always look exactly like the photos due to the wood grain changes.

They are solid brass plates with the engraving blackened for better readability . The size ranges from 7/8 to 1 1/8 inch tall by 3 inches long. depending upon the board it is going on. I center the plate on the side unless otherwise specified.
